John Deere 'Road to the Horse' competition closes this week

Supported by John Deere, the 'Road to the Horse' competition will see the winner head to the USA to see Australia's Dan Steers from Double Dan Horsemanship perform at the 2014 'Road to the Horse' competition in lexington, Kentucky, this March.

The prize includes flights (from major airports) and five nights' accommodation for one lucky winner and guest to see Steers in action in Kentucky's world competition of horsemanship skill.

Dan Steers from the Double Dans says, "Road to the Horse is a professional horsemanship competition showcasing the skills of elite horse trainers from around the world.

"The aim of Road to the Horse is to teach horsemen and women that natural horsemanship is a kinder, gentler way of working with horses. The lucky winner of the John Deere competition and guest will have the chance to see me perform at the prestigious 2014 Road to the Horse competition in the USA."

Dan Steers grew up in the South West of Western Australia and was first introduced to horses in his early teens; he then began working with different master farriers and horsemen around Australia.

John Deere has been supporting the Equine industry in Australia and New Zealand with products such as GatorTM utility vehicles, tractors, riding lawn equipment and everything in between.
